ACTING AND DIRECTING CLASSES
THEATRE I/II
This course offers the opportunity for a variety of performance experiences, which may include the following: scene work, monologues, stage combat, improvisation and pantomime. Major emphases of the class are on developing beginning acting skills and self esteem. It is required that students take Theatre I and Theatre II consecutively. (Course #70700)

As a continuation of Theatre I, Theatre II extends development of acting skills and self esteem. Course work may include the following: scene work, monologues, improvisation, play and character analysis, auditioning, musical theatre, and Shakespeare. Participation in play production is encouraged. It is required that students take Theatre I and Theatre II consecutively. May be taken only once for credit. There is a $30 for each class. THEATRE III
This course emphasizes the development of a higher level of acting skills. Course work may include the following: improvisation, play and character analysis, directing, theatre history, musical theatre, stage combat and advanced acting techniques. Participation in play production is encouraged. May be taken only once for credit. There is a $30 fee for this class. (Course #70720)

Prerequisite: Theatre II / Credit: 1.0 / Level: 10-12
THEATRE IV
This class allows students to pursue the fundamentals of stage direction. Course work may
include the following: directing and advanced acting, film directing, script and character
analysis and design concepts. Work outside of class time is expected for rehearsal and
performances. May be taken only once for credit. There is a $30 fee for this class. (Course #70730)

PRODUCTION ENSEMBLE
This audition-only course is for the advanced theatre student. Students will develop advanced production techniques. Play production is the core of this class. Students may be required to participate in the productions. May be taken more than once for credit. There is a $30 fee for this class. (Course #70755)

PERFORMANCE CLASS
Students will have the ability to research and select appropriate material for specific auditions/ job interviews. Students will begin to develop their audition book or expand on material they already have. Students will work to complete their audition book, headshot and resume. Students will learn how to make appropriate cuts in their music and will learn how to speak to an accompanist. Students will receive weekly critique and gain skills in auditioning, research, preparation, and performance. Fee will be determined based on photographer/accompanist. (Course #C70640S1)
